A family run business
Who are we?
We’re David and Alicia Morris, the husband-and-wife team behind D. Morris Design. We established the business in 2018 with a shared love of designing beautiful homes and solving tricky spaces. We know how much a home you love can enhance everyday life, and helping others achieve that is at the heart of what we do.
Originally based in Malvern, Worcestershire, we’ve worked on projects across the UK and spent two years in France designing luxury alpine chalets. In 2025, we moved to Suffolk to be closer to family with our son. We’ve loved getting to know the area, from its historic villages and market towns to the big skies, beautiful countryside and excellent local food.
Between us, we bring a broad range of design experience and technical knowledge, alongside a personal, collaborative approach. You’ll have one of us as your main point of contact, but behind the scenes we work together, sharing ideas and working through the details to find the right solution for your home.
As a small, family-run business, we take the time to understand what matters to you. From the first conversation through to the finished drawings, you can expect thoughtful design, clear communication and a service tailored to you and your project.

David Morris
With a background in both commercial and residential architectural design, David brings his experience and passion for creating beautiful spaces to the homes he designs.
He loves adding creative input to a design brief, unlocking the true potential of space with the right layout, and improving properties for the people who live in them. He brings that same care to the construction details, thinking through how each element will come together. With meticulous attention to detail, David understands how carefully considered design details can make a real difference to the finished home.

Alicia Morris
With a doctorate in engineering, Alicia brings a strong technical understanding, a practical approach and an eye for detail to her design work. She loves the challenge of a tricky space, exploring ideas to make a home flow better and suit the way her clients live.
She’s also the talent behind our 3D visualisations, helping clients picture how their homes could look and feel, explore different options and feel confident in their decisions. By considering everyday life alongside the layout, she creates thoughtful, practical designs that feel personal to each client.

Based in Monks Eleigh, we cover Suffolk and North Essex including Sudbury, Lavenham, Long Melford, Bury St. Edmunds, Hadleigh, Ipswich and Colchester.
